Movie Poster from Manny's movie "Darkest Africa". |
| These particular stills were taken from a "cliff hanger" named "Darkest Africa" made by Republic Studios back in 1935-36 that came in 15 chapters. Later it was made into a full length feature and retitled "Batmen of Africa". The man is perhaps the best know wild animal trainer in American circus history, Clyde Beatty. Elaine Shepard played my sister! I'm standing there holding hands with Bonga, the gorilla. Inside is one of the greatest Hollywood stunt men, Ray "Crash" Corrigan. Picture was taken on the back lot of Republic Studios in Hollywood. |
